Lynn McWhorter
“Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.”
Hebrews 13:2
The Pasco Home
Lynn has been cooking for people for as long as she can remember. As a child, she was taught to cook by her mother, but she says it was her mother-in-law that instilled a passion for turning simple dishes into masterpieces. There’s no better place to see this passion for cooking than at the Pasco Home, a Christian-based transitional home for those recovering from addiction. Once a month, Lynn gives her time to help feed over 30 part-time residents of the home. She makes everything from slow-roasted pork with slaw to local favorites like red beans and rice and says that she is careful to never make the same dish twice.
